Live remote webcast from Flinders Island Sports Club, Whitemark.

Live webcast  using wireless technology from outdoors at the Flinders Island Sports Club, to the The Pacific Crystal Palace on the Parliament Lawns at Salamanca, Hobart and to the world via webbing the islands.

Aboriginal Tasmanians welcomed audiences, communities, artists and arts workers from all over the world to the Tasmanian archipelago for ten days of cultural celebration and exchange.

Welcome to Country took place at the site of the hugely successful music festival Flinders Island Dreaming. Now in it's second year Flinders Island Dreaming kicked off the first weekend of Ten Days on the Island, providing invaluable workshops and master classes for local budding musicians. This event brought unprecedented opportunities for locals to show their talent and for the community to enjoy live performances from stars such as Walkabout Bob Wilson, Deniece Hudson, Ross Wilson (of Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock fame) and Torres Strait Islander Seaman Dan whose stories and songs they might otherwise never encounter.
