Video Presentation Support

The following software is required to playback a Video Presentation on a computer:

Windows 98 SE or higher, preferably XP.

Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher. Windows Media Player 9 Series (or higher) is recommended to optimise presentation playback.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 (or later), preferably 6.0.

Troubleshooting

1. The Video Presentation does not start:

A. Make sure that you have Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. Start up Internet Explorer, go to Help, About Internet Explorer and read the version. If you need an update of Internet Explorer, click here to install Internet Explorer 6.0 (ie6setup.exe).

Download size: 480 KB

B. If you don't have MS Office XP (2002) or MS Office 2003 installed, and you are not using Windows XP, you will need to install the viewer for MS Office (msorun.exe) by clicking here. Note that this will not be necessary if you are using Windows XP. If the program indicates that it will UNINSTALL the viewer, click cancel since you already have the required components.

Download size: 3.75 MB

C. Make sure that Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher is installed, preferably 9 Series. Launch the Windows Media Player from the Start menu, go to Help, About Windows Media Player and look at the version. If less than 7.0, install the correct update below by clicking on your Windows version:

Windows 98, 2000 and ME: Windows Media Player 9 Series (MPSetup.exe).

Download size: 13.6 MB

Windows XP: Windows Media Player 10 (MP10Setup.exe).

Download size: 12.5 MB

2. The Video Presentation starts, but I don't see a video or hear the audio:

A. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet options, Advanced and check the boxes "Play videos" and "Play sounds"  This one is pretty rare since almost everybody has these turned on.

B. Make sure that you have speakers (or headphones) and a sound card installed.
